The value of professional advice

Speakers : A panel featuring members of the Society of Insurance Broking’s Advisory Board

Over the last twenty years, insurers have often focused on convenience. For many members of the public, this means their interaction with the sector has shrunk down to a few minutes spent online two or three times a year.

With more options for customers to access products and services directly, how can brokers demonstrate the value of using a broker and enhance public understanding of their role in the insurance sector more broadly – and crucially, why does it matter?

This panel session, featuring members of the Society of Insurance Broking’s Advisory Board, will consider the crucial role that brokers play in risk management, and how the profession can prepare itself to serve the public in the future.

By attending this presentation, delegates should be able to:

  • recognise the key role of insurance broking in risk management
  • understand the value of receiving advice from a qualified professional
  • consider how to demonstrate the importance of broking to wider society
